Local sources in Ghazni say a 25-year-old man has been killed in an explosion involving unexploded ordnance in the province.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, November 8, that the incident occurred the previous day in Mir Khan village, in Qarabagh district of Ghazni.

According to the sources, the victim, identified as Mohammad Karim, was a self-employed worker.

The incident occurred after children collected some scrap metal from outside and brought it into their home. The scrap metal included unexploded ordnance, which then detonated.

A similar incident occurred recently in Ab Band district of the province, where a 17-year-old man was killed.
