Local sources say that a 12-year-old child was killed by armed robbers in Ab Kamari district of Badghis province, and his cattle were also stolen.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, September 3, that the incident took place at around 10:00 a.m. the previous day in the village of “Padah Dayzangi” in Ab Kamari district.

According to the sources, the child was shot by armed robbers while tending to the cattle and died as a result of the gunfire.

The incident comes amid an increase in criminal incidents in a number of provinces across the country, including Badghis, in recent weeks.

Local sources had previously reported that a man in Qadis district of Badghis province killed his mother with an axe and also wounded his brother’s wife.
