Kabul – The Foreign Ministry of the Taliban has announced that a delegation led by the ministry would travel to Islamabad tomorrow (Wednesday, November 10).
The Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi tweeted that the acting Foreign Ministry Amir Khan Muttaqi would travel at the head of a high-ranking delegation to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
The delegation is supposed to discuss the strengthening of economic relations, transit, and refugees with the top officials of Pakistan, Balkhi added.
In addition, the spread and facilitation of commuting would be discussed between the citizens of both countries in the trip.
The delegation also includes technical groups from the Ministries of Finance and Trade.
However, this is the first official trip of the Taliban’s delegation to Pakistan since the Taliban takeover.
Earlier, the Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi came to Kabul on an unannounced trip and met with the top Taliban officials.
