‏Local sources say that unknown gunmen have killed Barakatullah Kohistani, an employee and manager of one of the branches of Afghan United Bank in the Shahr-e-Naw area of Kabul.

According to the sources, the incident occurred on Monday, April 6, at around 7:30 a.m. in the Qala-e Najjarha area of Khair Khana, which is part of Kabul’s 11th police district.

Kohistani was targeted while on his way to work.

Sources added that after killing him, the unknown gunmen moved his body to a small room near the scene and hid it. His father later managed to find the body by tracking his son’s mobile phone.

It is said that Kohistani was the only son of his family and is survived by two children.

Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, cases of mysterious killings have increased in different parts of the country, and in many of these incidents, the perpetrators have been described as “unknown gunmen.”
