The Afghanistan Freedom Front has claimed that five Taliban fighters were killed or wounded in a military attack by its forces in Sar-e-Pul province.
The front said in a statement on Friday, Sept. 25, that its forces attacked the Taliban’s First District headquarters in Sar-e-Pul city at around 10 p.m. on Thursday.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front claimed that three Taliban fighters were killed and two others wounded in the operation.
According to the statement, the attack took place while a number of Taliban fighters had gathered inside the district headquarters.
The front provided no further details about possible casualties among its own forces or how the attack was carried out.
Meanwhile, anti-Taliban fronts, including the Afghanistan Freedom Front, have increased their attacks against the group. In another incident, the front reported that three Taliban fighters were killed or wounded in Kabul.
