Local sources say that Farid Nosrat, an employee of the Taliban Ministry of Interior, has been killed by individuals affiliated with the group due to “religious discrimination.”
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, April 30, that the incident occurred on Tuesday at around 10:00 a.m., and Nosrat was killed in one of the departments of the Taliban Ministry of Interior in Kabul.
Local sources have claimed that religious and ethnic differences and sensitivities were involved in this case.
According to the sources, Farid Nosrat was a follower of the Ismaili sect, and the perpetrators of the killing were individuals affiliated with the Taliban.
Sources say that Farid Nosrat was originally from the Shighnan district of Badakhshan province and was working as an employee in the Taliban Ministry of Interior.
The Hasht-e Subh Daily cannot independently confirm the motive behind the killing of this individual.
This incident comes as the Tolerance Organization had previously published a report titled “The Human Rights Situation of Ismaili Shia in Afghanistan,” which showed that this religious minority has faced systematic discrimination and human rights violations over the past four years.
