Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged U.S. President Donald Trump not to launch a large-scale attack on Iran’s energy infrastructure, according to Axios, citing informed sources.
The news website reported on Sunday, August 2, that the Saudi crown prince expressed his concerns over plans for broader strikes against Iran during a telephone call with Trump on Saturday.
According to the report, a U.S. official said, “The Saudis expressed concern and sought clarification about the proposed course of action.”
The report comes as Iran has warned that if its infrastructure is attacked, it will target the infrastructure of countries across the region in response.
