Cpharm: The Hashish Process Is Not True in Afghanistan

The Australian company Cpharm has never spoken to the Taliban nor has done any overseas deals, Reuters reported.

Kabul – The Australian company Cpharm has denied the Taliban’s claim that it has set up a hashish processing plant in Afghanistan.

The $450 million investment in the hashish process and the agreement with the Taliban is unrealistic, tweeted Cpharm today Thursday, November 25.

The Australian company Cpharm has never spoken to the Taliban nor has done any overseas deals, Reuters reported.

According to Reuters, the company has seventeen employees, and it doesn’t produce drugs but is a medical consultation.

“Cpharm cannot invest millions of dollars and is currently trying to stop the media,” Reuters quoted Tony Gabbets, the company’s chief financial officer.

“During the past day, I received more than 40 to 50 foreign calls,” said Tony.

The media outlets published the issue without exact investigation, he added.

The Australian company Cpharm has warned it will take legal action if it loses business due to misreporting of deals with the Taliban, which could be seen as a possible breach of sanctions.

The company, however, has not said against whom this action will be taken.

According to Gabbets, companies affiliated with Cpharm have ridiculed the news of the company’s agreement with the Taliban on the hashish process.

On the other hand, the Taliban Interior Ministry spokesman Saeed Khosty had tweeted on Wednesday, November 24, that the representatives of Cpharm Company have agreed with the ministry’s counter-narcotics officials on the hashish process.

Saeed Khosty had stated that the Cpharm Company wanted to use hashish in order to make medicine and worm.
