Nasir Khan Shirazi, spokesperson for the Taliban-controlled National Examination Authority, says the medical licensing, or “Exit,” exam will be held tomorrow.
Shirazi said on Thursday, October 8, that the exam will be administered tomorrow to graduates of general medicine.
According to him, the Exit exam for dentistry graduates will also be held on October 16.
The exam is being held as female medical graduates have been barred from taking it over the past five years.
The exclusion has prevented thousands of women from pursuing their dream of becoming doctors and has further complicated women’s and girls’ access to healthcare services.
