Four people have been killed and another injured in two separate traffic accidents in Khulm district of Samangan province.

The Taliban’s provincial police command said on Sunday, November 8, that the first accident occurred when a Hino truck collided with a Corolla car on the Shabaghli Pass road.

According to the Taliban, three people were killed and another was injured in the accident.

The police command added that the second accident occurred when a Corolla taxi overturned in the Khwaja Ghaib area of Khulm district, killing one person.

Meanwhile, seven people were killed and two others injured in a traffic accident in Qarghayi district of Laghman province on Saturday.

Excessive speed, driver negligence, failure to observe traffic regulations and poor road conditions have been cited as major causes of traffic accidents.
