Global oil prices remained steady in Thursday’s trading as prices continued their upward trend, with significant monthly gains, amid talks between Iran and the United States and developments in regional exports.
Al Jazeera reported early Thursday, October 1, that oil trading in global markets continued to rise but at a slower pace.
According to the report, Brent crude futures rose by 12 cents, or 0.1 percent, to $98.15 per barrel.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell by 7 cents, or 0.1 percent, to $90.35 per barrel.
This comes after both major oil benchmarks gained about $1 per barrel in the previous trading session.
