The killing of innocent Hazaras in the district of Khas Uruzgan, Uruzgan province, and their imprisonment following the murder of Rostam Rahimi, the mullah of Shashpar Mosque, showcases the height of humiliation and sorrow. Since the rise of the Taliban, countless Hazaras in Khas Uruzgan district have fallen victim to brutal violence. Over the past three years, 21 Hazaras have been killed without any reason, and none of their killers have been apprehended.

These murders not only demonstrate injustice and oppression but are also a deliberate effort to suppress and destroy the Hazara community. After the killings, instead of pursuing and punishing the murderers, the Taliban imprisoned eight more innocent people and subjected them to torture. Imprisoning individuals for disseminating and reporting news is one of the Taliban’s methods of suppression and intimidation to prevent awareness and instill fear among the people. These actions indicate the Taliban’s attempt to control public opinion and prevent the spread of the truth about the real situation in Afghanistan. The Taliban have repeatedly arrested and imprisoned journalists, media activists, and even ordinary citizens who sought to inform and publish real news. These arrests are used as a political tool to silence dissent and prevent the exposure of the group’s crimes and injustices. These cruel actions clearly show that instead of protecting the lives and property of citizens, the Taliban seek to impose terror and silence the voices of protests and truths.

The unfortunate conditions in the district of Khas Uruzgan are just one example of the worsening situation across Afghanistan. The Taliban, using power and force, strives to suppress any resistance and silence any form of opposition. This situation, especially for ethnic and religious minorities like the Hazaras, is a human catastrophe that requires immediate attention and reaction from the international community.

Torturing and imprisoning innocent individuals after murders indicate the depth of the Taliban’s cruelty and oppression. These actions not only violate human rights but also directly harm international efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan. The international community must condemn these crimes and use all possible means to pressure the Taliban to end this violence.

Supporting the victims and striving for justice is a duty that falls upon all of us. We must not allow the voice of the oppressed to be silenced. The Hazaras and other minorities in Afghanistan have the right to live in peace and security and enjoy their human rights. We must strive to bring this silenced voice to the ears of the world and defend the human rights of all individuals, regardless of ethnicity or religion.

The need for structural changes in the country’s governance and international support to create a just and human rights-based society is felt more than ever. This is the only way to end this violence and provide a better future for all the people of Afghanistan. We must learn from history and move towards a fairer and more peaceful future with solidarity and joint efforts.

In conclusion, what is happening in the district of Khas Uruzgan in Uruzgan province is a clear depiction of the cruelty and injustice of the Taliban. The killings of innocent Hazaras and the imprisonment of those trying to reveal the truth highlight the depth of suppression and oppression inflicted on this community. These actions not only violate human rights but also harm international efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan. The international community must continue to condemn these crimes and apply pressure on the Taliban to support the victims and strive for justice. Now more than ever, there is a need for structural changes and international support to create a just and human rights-based society. Only through solidarity and joint efforts can we put an end to this violence and provide a better future for all the people of Afghanistan.
