Local sources say that a man in Khas Uruzgan District of Uruzgan Province was shot dead by unidentified gunmen.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, September 10, that the man was Hazara and was killed last night at a government hospital in the Sultan Mohammad Nawa area.

According to the sources, unidentified gunmen entered the hospital, shot the man, who was a mahram of a female doctor, and then fled the area.

The sources added that the identity and motive of those behind the incident remain unclear.

Residents say the security situation of Hazara people living in Khas Uruzgan District under Taliban control is concerning.
