Mohammad Akrami-Nia, spokesperson for Iran’s army, has announced the purchase of Russian Su-35 fighter jets, saying Iran expects to receive them after the war ends.
Al Jazeera reported on Saturday night, October 31, that the army spokesperson made the remarks in an interview with an Iranian domestic media outlet.
According to the report, the spokesperson said the fighter jets were scheduled to arrive in Iran before the war with the United States and Israel began.
He explained that the necessary preparations and training had been completed and that the jets would be delivered to Iran soon.
The Iranian army spokesperson claimed that the country’s armed forces would emerge stronger after the war.
Meanwhile, Iran’s air force has become worn out and outdated, with its operational capabilities weakened by decades of sanctions.
