Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it captured two more US-made MQM-170 drones over the country’s south.
Tasnim reported early Tuesday, November 3, that the drones were captured in the airspace south of Qeshm Island.
According to the report, the IRGC claimed that the drones had been brought down using an advanced ground-based electronic warfare system.
The IRGC also claimed that, including these two drones, the total number of US drones of this type captured by the force had reached four.
This comes after Iran previously claimed to have destroyed another US drone east of the Strait of Hormuz.
The US military has not officially commented on the IRGC’s claims.
