Lavrov: Next Humanitarian Aid Shipment to Reach Afghanistan Within Two Months

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the eighth “Moscow Format” meeting on Afghanistan that Russia’s next shipment of humanitarian aid will be sent to Afghanistan within the next one to two months.

Lavrov said on Monday, October 5, citing a United Nations report, that more than 17 million people in Afghanistan will face food shortages during the coming winter.

He emphasized that Russia would continue providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

The eighth “Moscow Format” meeting on Afghanistan began in Moscow on Monday, October 5, with an address by Sergey Lavrov.
