Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban’s foreign minister, said at the eighth “Moscow Format” meeting that dispute between the Taliban and Pakistan should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
Muttaqi said on Monday, October 5, that Pakistan’s military approach would not help resolve security, political and economic issues between the two sides.
He added that, alongside military pressure and attacks on Afghan civilians, Pakistan was also using issues such as economic transit routes, migrants and students as tools of pressure.
Referring to cross-border threats, the Taliban foreign minister said combating Islamic State, drug trafficking and organized crime requires cooperation among countries in the region.
He emphasized that the Taliban is ready to cooperate with regional countries on border security and combating drug trafficking.
