The spokesperson of the Taliban group called the reopening of girls’ schools in Afghanistan inevitable.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban group, who is on an official trip to Turkey to participate in the Islamic Ulema Union Summit, delivered a speech on October 15.
Afghan National Television, under the control of the Taliban, reported that Mujahid said during his speech that the reopening of girls’ schools is inevitable and the education doors to girls will be reopened in the near future.
Mujahid declared the curriculum and transportation as the main reasons behind the closure of schools for girls and said that the issues are now resolved. Mujahid has spoken about the reopening of schools to girls after more than a year of resisting the idea of education for girls based on vague religious arguments which have no religious source and support.
