Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described Arab Israeli parties as supporters of Hamas and warned against their inclusion in the Israeli government.
Al Jazeera reported early Thursday, November 5, that Netanyahu said allowing these parties to join the government would lead to Israel’s collapse.
According to the report, Netanyahu made the remarks while addressing the Israeli public as he faces the prospect of losing power following his defeat in the parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, Arab Israeli parties have secured 19 seats in the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, marking an unprecedented record in the country’s political landscape.
However, Netanyahu’s main rival is reportedly considering forming a coalition with the bloc of Arab parties, a move that would bring Netanyahu’s tenure to an end.
