The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says cuts to humanitarian funding have made it more difficult for millions of people in Afghanistan to access essential services.
The organization said on Thursday, September 17, on its X account that declining humanitarian funding has created growing gaps in the delivery of essential services across Afghanistan.
OCHA said these gaps have affected areas including food, healthcare, education, nutrition, clean water, and shelter.
The organization added that millions of people across Afghanistan are facing growing humanitarian needs.
OCHA called on the international community to take action to address the humanitarian crisis.
