The Taliban have said that Pakistan carried out airstrikes on Nurgal district in Kunar province and Barmal district in Paktika province at around 3 a.m.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Taliban spokesperson, said on Monday, September 21, that civilian homes and public facilities were targeted in the strikes.
Fitrat added that three members of one family were killed and four others were injured in the attacks.
According to a Taliban statement, women and children were among those killed and injured.
In Barmal district of Paktika province, two locations in the Rakhah and Turkundi areas were also bombed.
The Taliban said the strikes destroyed a shop and a house but caused no casualties.
