Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, said that Iran has not requested military assistance from Russia amid the US and Israeli attacks.
On Thursday, March 5, Peskov told reporters that the Kremlin has not received any request for military help from Iran.
He added, “Our consistent position is well known, and there have been no changes to it.”
Russian officials have stated that the “Strategic Partnership” treaty signed by Moscow and Tehran in January 2025 does not provide for military assistance.
Russia, at the same time that the US and Israel began attacks on Iran, had called for a halt to these strikes.
