Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Bahrain to attend the ninth round of strategic dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Anadolu reported on Saturday night, October 17, that Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced the visit in a statement.
According to the report, Bahrain is scheduled to host the ninth round of Russia–GCC strategic dialogue at the foreign ministers’ level on Sunday.
The previous round of talks was hosted by Russia in the city of Sochi last year.
Russia is facing extensive sanctions imposed by Western countries over its military invasion of Ukraine.
