Poland’s Border Guard has announced the detention of more than 20 citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan on charges of attempting to enter the country illegally.
Poland’s Border Guard, on Monday, May 18, issued a statement saying that the migrants had attempted to cross the Polish-Belarusian border illegally.
The statement noted that these individuals were identified and detained in areas near border guard posts.
Polish authorities had previously announced the detention of citizens of Afghanistan following similar attempts to cross this border illegally.
In a comparable incident, Polish border forces had detained eight illegal migrants, including citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Pakistan, who had intended to pass through Polish territory illegally to reach Germany.
