Afghanistan Without Polio has announced the launch of a nationwide polio vaccination campaign.

On Monday, November 2, the organization urged families to protect their children from polio by ensuring they receive the vaccine.

The campaign will begin in Afghanistan’s southern zone on Tuesday, November 3.

Afghanistan Without Polio has repeatedly emphasized the importance of vaccinating children to eradicate the disease.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries in the world where cases of wild poliovirus are still being reported.

Despite ongoing vaccination campaigns, the disease continues to threaten children’s health in both countries.
