Polio-Free Afghanistan has announced that a polio vaccination campaign will begin tomorrow across all provinces of the country.

In a post on its X account on Sunday, November 1, the initiative said the campaign aims to vaccinate children throughout the country.

Polio-Free Afghanistan has called on citizens to contribute to eradicating polio and help ensure that children have access to vaccination.

The initiative has repeatedly stressed that families’ cooperation in vaccinating their children plays an important role in preventing the spread of the disease and making Afghanistan polio-free.

The campaign is being launched as Afghanistan remains one of only two countries where the poliovirus is still present.
