The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Afghan Red Crescent Society have distributed cash assistance to 700 families affected by clashes in Zabul province.
The ICRC said on Sunday, October 11, that the homes of these families had been damaged or completely destroyed by the fighting, while their livelihoods had also been disrupted.
According to the organization, the cash assistance will help affected families meet their immediate needs and rebuild their lives.
The aid comes as armed clashes in Afghanistan in recent years have damaged the homes and livelihoods of numerous families, leaving them facing economic hardship and struggling to meet their basic needs.
