Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation has announced that an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has killed at least 12 people and injured 309 others.
In a statement issued early Sunday, October 11, the authority said the victims included citizens of several countries.
According to the statement, the dead included four Saudi nationals and two Bangladeshi nationals, as well as citizens of the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.
The authority added that another 309 people were injured in the attack, some of whom are in critical condition.
It said Saturday’s attack also caused financial and material damage, the extent of which is still being assessed.
