Sources in Nangarhar say unknown gunmen have shot and killed a young man in the province.
The sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday night, October 5, that the young man was named Wahid and was involved in community affairs.
According to the information, it remains unclear who killed him and what the motive behind the killing was.
Meanwhile, some sources have claimed that the victim was the head of the Taliban’s intelligence department at a prison in Nangarhar.
The incident comes as the number of armed and mysterious killings across Afghanistan has increased sharply in recent months.
