Sources in Kabul have reported the closure of the Khatam al-Anbia Scientific, Cultural and Religious Seminary in western Kabul.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, September 21, that individuals affiliated with the Taliban’s Minister of Justice stormed the Khatam al-Anbia Scientific and Cultural Seminary on the main road in Dasht-e Barchi, in Kabul’s sixth district, this afternoon.
The sources said that armed individuals affiliated with the Taliban’s Minister of Justice sealed the gates of the Khatam al-Anbia Seminary, the sports stadium and the wrestling club within the complex, and took several religious scholars and guards of the complex with them.
The site is reportedly one of the important religious centers and gathering places for Hazaras and Shiites in western Kabul.
This comes as the Taliban have, over the past week, taken several measures against Shiites across the country, closing the Khatam al-Nabieen Seminary, Khatam al-Nabieen University, Rah-e Farda Television, the public relations office of Hazara and Shiite elders, and the High Council of Shiites.
