Local sources say a Taliban fighter was killed by unknown gunmen in Badghis province, and the attackers also took his weapon.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, September 21, that the Taliban fighter was killed last night in Jawand district of Badghis province.
No details have yet been released about the identity or motive of the perpetrators.
The incident comes as anti-Taliban fronts have increased their attacks against the group in various parts of Afghanistan in recent weeks.
