Local sources say that three people have been killed or injured in clashes between Taliban fighters and Pakistani forces in Paktika province.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, November 1, that Pakistani forces launched rocket attacks on residential homes in the Sordag area of Shkin district, near the border with Pakistan, this afternoon.

According to the sources, a young boy was killed, two school students were injured, and several houses were destroyed in the clashes.

Reports indicate that Taliban fighters and Pakistani forces have clashed at least three times over the past week in border areas of Barmal and Shkin districts in Paktika province.

The incident comes as clashes between the two sides continue. On Saturday, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, said that Pakistan was not adequately prepared to resolve its differences with the Taliban through peaceful means.
