The Taliban have announced that, following Pakistani artillery shelling in Kunar, one person was killed and another was injured.
Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban, said that the incident occurred on Sunday, March 22, in Nari district of the province.
According to Fitrat, as a result of the attack, one civilian was killed, and a woman was injured.
He added that Pakistani forces also opened fire on a vehicle in the Shakin area of Paktika province.
The Taliban’s deputy spokesperson noted that no passengers in the vehicle were harmed in the attack.
This comes as Pakistan and the Taliban had announced a temporary ceasefire one day before Eid al-Fitr.
