Sources in Omid-e Sabz Township in western Kabul have reported continued pressure from the Taliban Ministry of Justice on residents of the area, saying that the Taliban intend to quietly evacuate the township.
Sources confirmed to the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Tuesday, October 6, that three community representatives were arrested by the Taliban in Omid-e Sabz Township this morning.
The sources said that after the community representatives were transferred to the Taliban Ministry of Justice, they disappeared while being taken to the office of the Taliban governor in Kabul, and there has been no information about their whereabouts so far.
At the same time, the sources stressed that fighters affiliated with the Taliban Ministry of Justice warned residents of Omid-e Sabz Township against organizing any kind of protest gathering or allowing the current situation in the township to become public through the media.
This comes as an inspection team from the Taliban Ministry of Justice has recently ordered all property owners in Omid-e Sabz Township to pay 4,000 Afghanis in rent for each room.
