The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced that it will strengthen access to safe water, basic health services and sanitation in schools and health facilities across 12 provinces of Afghanistan.
UNICEF wrote on X on Thursday, October 1, that the programme is being implemented with support from Korea.
The organization said the programme aims to provide children and families with access to safe water, health, and sanitation services.
UNICEF added that providing these services in schools and health facilities will help reduce the risk of diseases caused by contaminated water.
