Yemen’s Houthis have claimed responsibility for an attack on weapons depots at a Saudi military base in the Sharurah area.
Al Jazeera reported early Sunday, September 13, that the claim was made by Yahya Saree, the Houthi military spokesperson.
According to the report, Saree said the attack on Saudi Arabia was carried out using a large number of ballistic missiles and drones.
He claimed that the attacks were accurate and direct, and were carried out in response to what the group described as Saudi Arabia’s continued aggression.
This comes as Yemen’s Houthis have, in recent days, rapidly seized the city of Mokha and further consolidated their control over the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
