Twenty-six people were injured after a 508-type vehicle overturned in Aliabad district of Kunduz province.
Jumauddin Khaksar, spokesperson for the Kunduz police command, said on Sunday, September 13, that the incident occurred in the “Jelgir” area of the district.
He said women and children were among those injured and were transferred to health facilities for treatment.
Khaksar attributed the incident to the driver’s negligence and said the injured were in stable condition.
Traffic accidents in Afghanistan claim the lives of a number of people every year and injure many others.
Driver negligence, speeding, poor road conditions and failure to follow traffic rules are considered major causes of such accidents.
