A credible source reports that Nasir Roshan, the owner of the Roshan Plaza commercial complex in Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul, has been detained by the Taliban.
On Sunday, November 26, Hasht-e Subh Daily received information from a reliable source stating that the 90-year-old merchant had been in Taliban custody for approximately 22 days.
According to the source, the Taliban arrested Mr. Roshan due to the disappearance of one of their employees three months ago.
The source vehemently asserts that Naseer Roshan has no connection to the case of the missing Taliban employee.
The source emphasizes that Roshan is a philanthropist who has not caused harm to anyone.
Despite inquiries, Taliban officials have provided no information regarding the detention of this merchant.
It is important to note that the recent detention and reported torture of citizens by the Taliban is not unprecedented, as they have engaged in such actions on multiple occasions in the past.
