Local sources in Maidan Wardak say the body of a Taliban fighter who was killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been transferred to the province.

Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Saturday, October 31, that the Taliban fighter was killed in clashes with Pakistani forces two days earlier.

According to the sources, the fighter was identified as Matiullah Aziz.

They added that his body was transferred to the Shiniz Valley in Saydabad district of Maidan Wardak province.

The incident comes after previous reports that dozens of Taliban fighters had been killed while fighting alongside the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
