Argentina advanced to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after defeating England 2-1 in the semifinals.

The match was played on Wednesday, July 15, at Atlanta Stadium in the United States. Argentina came from behind in the second half, scoring twice to secure the victory and book its place in the final.

England, seeking its first World Cup final appearance since winning the tournament in 1966, saw its campaign come to an end with the defeat.

Argentina will face Spain in the final after Spain defeated France in the other semifinal.

The reigning champions, who won the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, will aim to retain their title by claiming a second consecutive World Cup championship.
