One Taliban fighter is killed and two others injured as a result of an explosion in Badakhshan province, local sources said.
The blast reportedly took place in Argo district of the province at around 4:10pm Wednesday evening.
According to sources, the target of this explosion was a Taliban vehicle and it was due to an embedded mine on the side of the road.
The head of Taliban’s intelligence and culture for Badakhshan however confirmed the blast but said that no one was injured in this incident.
In another explosion three weeks ago in the city of Faizabad, the center of this province, three Taliban were killed and another was injured.
