Local sources say that the body of a young man was found hanging in Farah province.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, September 20, that the young man was named Abdul Matin and had been found hanging in the provincial capital of Farah.
According to the sources, it is not yet clear whether the young man hanged himself or was killed by another person who hanged him.
Further details about how the incident occurred and the exact time of the incident are not available.
However, some sources say that the 22-year-old man was a money changer and had died by suicide after suffering financial losses.
The incident comes as suicide, targeted killings, abductions, theft, and insecurity have increased in various parts of Afghanistan in the years since the Taliban takeover.
In two separate incidents, a doctor was killed by armed men in Badghis, while another young man was killed in an attack by armed thieves in Kabul.
