Local sources have reported the detention of a Philosophy student from Bamyan University by the Taliban after he criticized the lack of security in the province.
According to information confirmed by the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, November 23, the detained student is Abdulatif Qanbari, who was apprehended by Taliban forces near Bamyan two days ago.
Allegedly, during the graduation ceremony of Bamyan University students, Abdulatif voiced his concerns about the inadequate security in the province, urging the authorities to prioritize the protection of residents.
Sources claim that since the Taliban regained control in this region, at least 30 residents of Bamyan, including women and children, have mysteriously become victims of violence.
As of now, the Taliban have not issued any comments on these allegations.
It is noteworthy that since their return to power, the Taliban have detained and imprisoned dozens of civil and social activists who dared to criticize the group.
