The European Union says that empowering Afghan women and girls is a key focus of its aid programs and that it is working to strengthen skills and create economic opportunities for women in Badakhshan province.
The EU reported on Saturday, June 20, that these programs are being implemented with the support of partner organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
According to the report, this cooperation aims to improve skills, enhance individual capacities, and provide economic opportunities for women and girls in Badakhshan.
The EU made these remarks while widespread restrictions on women’s education, employment, and social participation continue in Afghanistan.
