Sources say four Hazara youths were killed by direct gunfire from Taliban fighters in the Dasht-e Barchi area of Kabul’s 13th Security District.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, August 10, that after killing the youths, the Taliban identified them as “armed robbers.”
Meanwhile, Khalid Zadran, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Kabul Police Command, has claimed that four “armed robbers” were killed this morning in the area of Kabul’s 18th Security District.
Zadran said the individuals had entered a house with the intention of carrying out a robbery and that a confrontation broke out between the two sides after Taliban fighters arrived at the scene.
He also claimed that four “armed robbers” were killed in the confrontation and that two rifles were recovered from them.
The Taliban’s Kabul Police Command had previously also claimed that seven “armed individuals” were killed in a confrontation.
It is said that the Taliban kill people under various pretexts, including by labeling them “armed robbers,” while sources reject the Taliban’s claims.
Previously, the Taliban also repeatedly killed former military personnel and employees of the previous government, accusing them of theft and membership in fronts opposed to the group.
