Local sources in Ghazni Province have said that residents have built a school in Jaghori district at a cost of 20 million Afghani.
The sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Tuesday, September 8, that residents of Chihil Baghtuy Pashahi village in Jaghori district of Ghazni Province have constructed a school with a well-equipped and standard building.
According to the sources, the school building has three floors, 30 classrooms, and other facilities, providing an educational space for at least 1,000 students at a time.
Previously, residents of Jaghori district in Ghazni Province had also built several schools in different parts of the district at their own expense.
This comes as, following the Taliban’s return to power, girls above the sixth grade have been barred from education, while hundreds of schools across the country have been left without proper buildings or adequate educational facilities.
