Global oil prices have risen following remarks by US President Donald Trump that he was not inclined to ease sanctions against Iran.
Al Jazeera reported early Wednesday, September 30, that the price of a barrel of oil in global markets had surpassed $103 per barrel following Trump’s remarks.
According to the report, Brent crude oil futures rose by $1.14, or 1.11 percent, to $103.73 per barrel.
At the same time, the price of US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil also increased by 34 cents, or 0.38 percent, to $89.72 per barrel.
This comes as prices had previously declined in earlier trading sessions due to improved crude oil supplies from the Middle East.
