Yahya Saree, the Houthis’ military spokesperson, has claimed in a statement that the group’s forces recently targeted a Saudi aircraft.

Al Jazeera reported early Thursday, October 15, that the Houthi spokesperson made the claim in a post on his X account.

According to the report, Saree said the aircraft was a Eurofighter Typhoon that had taken off from Taif Air Base.

He added: “The aircraft was targeted by an air-to-air missile while in the airspace of Saada province. It was directly hit and is now at risk of crashing.”

Meanwhile, officials from the Saudi-led coalition have not yet confirmed the claim or issued a statement on the matter.
