Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has said that the Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran and is a tool that the country will use.

ISNA reported on Sunday, June 21, that Aref said Iran possesses strong tools but had not used them before.

According to the report, Aref stated that negotiations between Iran and the United States will conclude.

He described the Strait of Hormuz as an instrument for Iran that is now being utilized.

Aref said, “The Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran, and our ancestors sacrificed many martyrs to protect it, and passage through the strait should not be taken lightly.”

This comes as Iran and the United States signed an agreement last weekend to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
