The Taliban have announced that 144 migrant families, comprising 598 people, returned to Afghanistan from neighboring countries the previous day.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Taliban spokesperson, said in a statement on Saturday, September 26, that 36 families comprising 182 people entered the country through the Torkham crossing.
According to the statement, 11 families comprising 60 people also entered Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar.
The Taliban said 85 families comprising 319 people returned to the country through the Silk Bridge in Nimroz.
Meanwhile, 12 families comprising 37 people entered Afghanistan through the Islam Qala border crossing in Herat.
